【 BACKGROUND 】
Simon is an "aging" professional dancer who is facing the impending end of his career. While he's hoping to get five or ten more years out of it, he anticipates a bleak future once the profession he's committed his entire life to comes to an end. "A dancer dies twice— once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful," world-renowned choreographer Martha Graham once said. The older Simon gets, the more keenly he sees this artistic death approaching. The existential crisis that comes with that knowledge is suffocating. Beneath his pleasant and focused demeanor, Simon's spiralling into a deep, dark depression.
Simon comes from a conservative family that neither supported his goals in dance nor his sexuality (something he struggles to accept to this day). This fraught history has led him to be someone who is hard to get close to in any meaningful fashion. He is, in many ways, very uncomfortable in his own skin, always second guessing his feelings and choices — all but the choice to pursue dance. That is the only certainty he feels he has in life and that's drawing to close. This uncertainty about himself and his place in life created a fiercely private and introverted person who has difficulty with anything beyond superficial relationships.

Simon stands 5'11" with a muscular frame, broad shoulders, and a narrow waist. His hair is dark brown with natural waves that curl around his neck. His eyes are dark and distant, often giving the impression that his mind is elsewhere.
【 PERSONALITY 】
Simon is an intense person. Though pleasant outwardly, he is prone to moodiness and bouts of depression. Most of this he keeps hidden away from view, leaving him emotionally isolated. He is hard-working and channels his feelings and frustrations into dance and staying in shape for it. When it comes to his art, Simon is passionate to the point of getting tunnel vision. It's affected his ability to maintain any meaningful personal relationships. He tends to push people away out of fear of them seeing the uglier side of him if they get too close.

Simon is the product of a lot of emotional abuse and gaslighting at the hands of his family, leaving him very uncomfortable with his attraction to men. Sometimes he tries to date women, but it never works out as there's no real physical attraction for him.
